Our Living Languages: First Peoples’ Voices in BC

exhibition from the Royal BC Museum and First Peoples’ Cultural Council that celebrates the resilience and diversity of Indigenous languages in the face of change.

Discover the roots of Robert Bateman’s artistic journey in Mid-Century Bateman, an intimate retrospective celebrating his 95th birthday. Featuring early paintings, rare sketches, and personal reflections, the exhibit reveals Bateman’s enduring love for nature, family, and Vancouver Island.

Presented by Temple Lodge #33 of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons (Grand Lodge of BC & Yukon), this exhibit offers a rare look into the history, regalia, and community impact of Freemasonry and its affiliated organizations across the region.

Celebrate 100 years of maritime tradition with The Maple Bay Yacht Club with a focused display of photographs, artifacts, and stories tracing the club’s evolution from 1925 to today. On view at the Cowichan Valley Museum October 3–18, 2025.
